2008 North Carolina Open Championship


Venue: Pinehurst Resort & Country Club and Longleaf Country Club, Pinehurst, North Carolina.
Eligibility: Open to members of a WCF-affiliated croquet association with minimum world ranking grade of 1600 or higher or USCA handicap of 3 or lower.
Format: Advanced singles. Main event: Best-of-three knockout ladder with single-game matches in loser's bracket. Up to half of field seeded; remainder distributed by random draw. Plate: flexible Swiss determining final tournament standing up to third place.
Time limits: First-round matches: 3/5/7 hours. Winner's bracket matches after first round: no time limit. Single-game matches (loser's bracket, plate): 3 hours.
Balls: Dawson 2000
Entry fee: US$175.
