Pasta
The ultimate college meal!
Linguine Carbonara

ingredients:
1 package linguine (or preferred pasta)
1 box frozen peas
approx. 5 slices of bacon
1 egg
approx. 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
directions:
1. In a skillet cook bacon until done, crumble once cooled, set aside
2. Mix egg to combine yolk and white in a small bowl, set aside
3. Cook linguine (or other pasta) according to package directions
4. Two minutes before pasta is thoroughly cooked add frozen peas to pasta water
5. Drain pasta and peas after the two minutes pass, do not rinse with water
6. Return pasta and peas to pasta pot
7. Quickly add egg to pasta, stir to incorporate and cook egg
8. Add reserved bacon and the parmesan cheese to pasta mixture
9. Season with salt and pepper, serve immediately!
Pesto Shrimp Pasta
ingredients:
1 package pasta
1 lb. de-veined shrimp
8 oz. prepared basil pesto
**optional: grated parmesan cheese
directions:
1. Cook pasta according to box directions, making sure to reserve 1 cup of pasta cooking water while draining.
2. While pasta cooks, put frying pan over medium-high heat
3. Lightly coat de-veined shrimp in olive oil, and season with salt and pepper
4. When pan is hot, arrange shrimp in the pan and cook 2-3 minutes on each side, or when pink
5. When shrimp have cooked, remove from heat and add pesto sauce to pan
6. Stir shrimp mixture to coat with pesto, set aside
7. Place drained pasta in serving bowl, top with shrimp mixture, and combine
8. Add pasta water to bowl until desired consistency is reached
**9. Top with parmesan cheese
10. Serve immediately
