Peer Website Evaluation (Class Group)

In their entirety, the websites of our Music Reference and Research Materials’ classmates all profess to do their goals: to present the internet public of their research topics. While all succeeded at various levels, there were some who had better knowledge of the html language and made more eye-catching presentations. In a class that is focused on building websites, I would have expected more presentation and less research. In a class that is focused on research, however, it could be a task to also learn html at the same time. Therefore, it is encouraging to find all levels of website etiquette, ornamentation, and attractiveness. In the long run, we have created public websites and these days, people prefer to read the eye-catching news/stories. It is also important to add that the class is commendable to have a wide gamut of topics from electroacoustic flute music to children’s music education to Ravel’s Piano Concerto for the Left Hand to defining music software notation. After the initial class with Dr. Elliot in searching for topics, it is clear that this class has no problem in discovering their own passion, in finding a topic suitable for their research.
